This Privacy Policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions which govern the use of the PeGePay website and mobile application.

Any subsequent changes will be notified to you via the e-mail address provided by you upon registration or via an announcement on the website and mobile application. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this site prior to the change becoming effective. The changes will apply to the use of the website and the mobile application after you are given notice. If you do not wish to accept the new changes you should not continue to use the website and/or the mobile application. If you continue to use the website and/or the mobile application after the date on which the changes comes into effect, your use of the website and/or the mobile application indicates your agreement to be bound by the new changes.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, create items listing, create a microsite and configure payment method from pegepay.com (the “Site”) and process transactions from PeGePay Business (the “Mobile App”) operated by PeGeBak Pte Ltd. (“PeGeBak,” “we,” “our,” “us”).

The purpose of this privacy policy (“Policy”) is to convey to you what information we processes through pegepay.com. The Policy details how we collect, use, and disclose different types of information or data (as defined below) and your choices and rights. By “Personal Data” we mean any type of information or data that identifies, or reasonably could be used to identify, you as an individual. We refer to information that does not fall under any applicable scope or definition of personal data as “Other Data” and to Personal Data and Other Data collectively as “Data.” 

By accessing or submitting Personal Data through pegepay.com, you consent to the collection and use of the personal information by us in the ways described herein (which may change from time to time) unless and until you inform us to the contrary.

Further, you consent to any other 3rd party to disclose your personal information to us.

If you do not agree with our Policy or Terms, do not access or use pegepay.com and in such case, you should (a) take the necessary steps to remove cookies from your computer after leaving our website and (b) discontinue any future access or use. 

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

We collect Personal Data in different ways. For example, if you want to create a microsite, you will need to create an account with PeGePay and submit the following types of Personal Data: contact information, such as name, email address and/or mobile phone number, pseudonymous username, and a personal “headshot” picture. We refer to this information as “PeGePay Account Information”.

When you set up your payment method, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, payment information, bank account information, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Payment Settings Information”.

When you use the PeGePay Business mobile app, we automatically collect location data of your mobile device. We refer to this information as “Mobile Device Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking all about Device Information, PeGePay Account Information, Payment Settings Information and Mobile Device Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site).

We use the PeGePay Account Information to fulfil any transaction, dispatch request placed through the Site and for identity verification.

The Payment Settings Information is used for the generation of dynamic payment QR codes.

The Mobile Device Information is used to enable Bluetooth printer devices discovery and communication with already-paired Bluetooth printer devices.

Personal information may be disclosed to the classes of third parties as follows in order for us to effectively manage our business including rendering our services to you:-

  1. Third parties contracted by us to assist in delivering all or part of the services to you, including without limitation, to the following:-
    1. Mapping services;
    2. Profiling/assessment services;
    3. Online advertising services; and
    4. Market research and website usage analysis services.
  2. Strategic partners that work with us to provide our services or that help market and promote us;
  3. Regulatory bodies, governmental bodies or other authorities if required or authorized to do so to discharge any regulatory function, under any law or in relation to any order or judgment of a court;
  4. Regulatory bodies, governmental bodies or other authorities for the purpose of detection or prevention of crime, illegal/unlawful activities or fraud or for the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, or for an investigation relating to any of these;
  5. Any party involved in or related to a legal proceeding (or prospective legal proceeding), for purposes of the legal proceedings;
  6. Our professional advisors on a need to know basis;
  7. Otherwise permitted under any data protection legislation.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS REGARDING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You are responsible for providing accurate, not misleading, complete and up-to-date information to us about yourself and any other person whose personal information you provide us and for updating this personal information as and when it becomes inaccurate, misleading, incomplete and out-of-date.

In the circumstances you may need to provide to us personal information about someone other than yourself (for example, your employee). If so, we rely on you to inform these individuals that you are providing their personal information to us, to make sure they consent to you giving us their information and to advise them about where they can find a copy of this Privacy Notice.

TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE OF YOUR LOCAL JURISDICTION

It may be necessary for us to transfer your personal information outside of your local jurisdiction if any of our service providers or strategic partners are based overseas.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

OPT-OUT CHOICES

You have choices and access rights regarding our use and disclosure of your Personal Data. If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us going forward, you may opt-out via the unsubscribe link included in such emails. If you wish to access, amend or delete any Personal Data we hold about you, or if you have any objection to the processing of any Personal Data that we hold about you, please contact us at support@pegepay.com. If you ask us to delete your account, we will do so within a reasonable period of time, but we may need to retain some of your Personal Data in order to satisfy our legal obligations, or where we have a legitimate reason for doing so. If your Personal Data changes, or if you no longer desire our services, you may update it or deactivate your PeGeBak Account by making the change in your account page, by emailing our Customer Support at support@pegepay.com, or by contacting us by telephone. We may be required to keep your Data and not delete it (or to keep your information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete any Data, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives. After deactivation of your PeGeBak Account and deletion of Data from the active database, we may continue to use and disclose your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you decide that you do not want us to use your Data in the manner described in the Privacy Policy, you may not use the Website. If you have already registered an account, you can find out how to terminate or cancel your account, or correct, or delete your Data by emailing support@pegepay.com

DATA RETENTION

When you place a transaction/request through the Site, we will maintain your transaction/request Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

MINORS

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
